Momosuke Takano was born on July 9, 1912 in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
He attended Matsumoto Shogyo high school, helping the team to the 14th
National High School Baseball Championship title at Koshien in 1928. He
later attended Rikkyo University and then signed with Nankai in 1938.
Takano played 40 games during the fall season that year and batted .214
with 15 RBIs.
Momosuke Takano died in combat during World War II.
