Daichi Kaino was born in 1916 in Hiroshima, Japan. He attended Koryo
Chugakkou high school and played in the 1935 Koshien Tournament.
A middle-infielder, Kaino attended Meiji University and signed with
Nagoya in 1938, playing in all of the team's 40 games during the fall
season and batting .194. In 1939, Kaino played just five games (probably
due to the military draft). He later died in combat.
